Amy's Wedding

It was a wonderfully fun wedding. I had the privilage to sing at Amy and Brett's Wedding. Scott was a life saver. I loved everything about her wedding and got to know most of her family very well. We had a great time but we are very tired.

Softball is still in my Blood

This summer our old softball team got back together and we are playing once a month. It's been fun to get everyone together and have Scott meet all my old softball friends.
Scott came and watched me umpire during a tournament we had. My last game was last night. I met some fun girls who are in college that umpired with me. Many of them are not playing too far away from home so maybe I can catch a few games. It's been neat to build relationships with these girls and watch all their dreams for the future still be ahead of them. Many are changing their degree and some just want to be done. I felt like they were good for me to be around. To hear their views on things and listen to what they feel is important. I know in everything I do, I try to look for why God has me in the places he has me. I hope I can make a difference and an impact. To learn about their lives and just listen, my hope would be I could be a friend.
I am looking into volleyball officiating for the month of August and Sept. To get me through the Fall months until Spring. I am enjoying staying in sports for my jobs. God is good in providing opportunities to work with people who love the same sports I do and it's teaching me a little more insight into what they go through. As a coach, I think you need this experience to help you relate and be a better coach. As an Athletic Director, I feel it's very important to understand everyones role in sports. Please pray for me as their is a job on the table, which God might be preparing me for and I want to know it's from Him. So whether my future lies in coaching, athletic directing, or serving as an official, I want to do it for the Glory of HIM!

Sedgwich County Fair

Not every day do you get to be involved in the fair. This year my coed softball team got into the tournament and Scott came with me to watch. We played at 9 and 10 in the morning and then had all afternoon at the fair. If you know me, this does not sound exciting at all. But I tried a Turkey leg and Scott ate a corn dog/funnel cake. We took a peek in the animal barns and showcases of art. We also enjoyed the four year olds tracker peddle. It was so exciting Scott and I ended up chatting with some of our ball players for most the afternoon instead of walking around the fair. Our coed team won its fourth tournament this summer this past weekend. We enjoyed getting to tell stories and spent time just being around our softball friends. We both had a good time together and I was thankful Scott fit right in with the conversations. He is so cute.

Doe- Mist-Ah-Caited/ Domesticated

I have a love for my yard and my house. I enjoy cooking cleaning and having things done for my husband. It's a sweet treat to hear him say how much he enjoys coming home to me. At the age of 25 if you would have told me I would be so enjoying all of this I would tell you, you are crazy. But life changes you and helps you better appreciate things more then ever before. I look back on my life in Guatemala and just am so thankful for everything here in America. Scott had to drag me to a Fourth of July celebration at our church but once I was there, I started to cry at everything. I really enjoyed seeing people be proud of America and just thankful for people who served for our freedom. I have been hit with different images at different times and it brings me to a place of humble thanks every time. In Guatemala their were always beautiful flowers and now I seem them here. I see all God has given us here and I hadn't ever really thought about the beauty but Scott will find me looking at storms, sunsets, flowers and he will hold me in my silence. He also laughs a little under his breath but it is amazing the things you miss about your own land. Tomorrow I get to vacuum, dust, cook, and enjoy my husband for the evening. I know... I have a great life.
